Round wood is what people typically picture when they think of the logging industry. Round wood is logged for pulpwood, chip-n-saw, saw logs, hardwood, and cypress. Pulpwood is used for making paper, chip-n-saw and saw logs are used for lumber, and hardwood is used for firewood, mat logs and veneer logs. Veneer log are used for making pallets and crates while mat logs are used for dragline mats. Few people are lucky enough to have cypress on their tracts of land. Cypress is used for mulch and cypress boards.
